Phantasm II (1988) DVD
Years after surviving his encounter with the sinister Tall Man
(Angus Scrimm), Mike Pearson (James LeGros), now a mental patient, still
has nightmares about the evil gaunt mortician. Upon being released from
the institution, Mike and his friend Reggie (Reggie Bannister) set out
to track down the Tall Man and end his murderous
and macabre practices. Also involved is Liz Reynolds (Paula Irvine), a
pretty young woman who has a psychic connection to both Mike and the
Tall Man.

A Time to Kill (1996) DVD
Carl Lee Hailey (Samuel L. Jackson) is a heartbroken black father
who avenges his daughter's brutal rape by shooting the bigoted men
responsible for the crime as they are on their way to trial. He turns to
Jake Brigance (Matthew McConaughey), an untested lawyer, to defend him.
Brigance struggles to believe that he can get
Hailey acquitted in this small, segregated Southern town, given Hailey's
race and the deliberate nature of his crimes, but Carl has unshakable
faith in him.
